In today's complex and competitive world, industrial engineers are increasingly challenged to design, improve and manage integrated systems of people, materials, equipment and energy. The research thesis should demonstrate how to apply fundamental principles of engineering science to efficiently design and analyze large industrial systems in both manufacturing and service industries.
